Collapsing Claws

Collapsing Claws

Thought I would give entering the Costume challenge this year a shot. BUT Thingiverse doesn't appear to be doing the event anymore since 2017. But since I had the idea I figured I would make it anyway. Happy costuming! So inspired by single print collapsing swords, I decided to make a set of print in place collapsing claws. I made 3 versions. Single, Double, and Triple claw models. I also uploaded 2 test models to help you dial in your settings. The claws have holes for 1/2" wide velcro strips or straps of some kind. They also have a lock pin / vent hole system built in. Use a typical barbecue skewer to prevent them from opening on their own. (mine could be trimmed down more in the photos). The model is designed for the right hand, so you should mirror it in your printing software before printing a left hand version. The claws are oddly fun to wear opening them with a flick of your wrist, and pretending to punch things to close them. I may have been a bit too amused while testing these. lol As always if you poke you or someone else's eyes out, or any other intentional or accidentals disaster occurs. Its not my responsibility. Run around pretending to be Weapon X, Y or Z at your own risk. https://youtu.be/2CPmTyaEntc
