Collar and Neck for Fanstoys Hoodlum

fanstoys hoodlum is a figure with a lot of potential! and a lot of flaws. i've tried to improve a few things with this new collar piece - * improved aesthetics, with no unsightly joints and deeper details * a tight fit to hold the torso together better, without dislodging parts when moving the arms * a new neck to allow for some increased articulation unfortunately this comes at a cost of having to remove the piece for transformation, but even that has an upside - no risk of paint scratches when transforming the original collar! bugste81 had a similar idea and i've listed my part as a remix of theirs, as i used their design as a start point. assembly and installation - the collar piece should fit snugly inside the chest piece with a well tuned printer. if too loose you may need glue, if too tight, it'll deform the struts of the chest piece and you'll need to do some tweaking. attach the neck with a 2mm rod or pin. i use a somewhat malleable florist wire for this because its easy to cut. remove the original chest piece by awkwardly unscrewing the very flat screw on the inside of the chest panel, and unscrew and remove the original head. now is a good time to installing the optional face spacer - unscrew the head, and insert the part into the screw hole to make the face less recessed in the helmet. attach the head to the new neck. to achieve the light grey V detail without damaging the figure, apply a piece of tape over the area of the chest panel where it will be visible. i used electrical tape. install the new chest by dropping it into place over the chest panel, then pressing the front into place to push the peg into the original screw hole. make sure the internal arm joints are in their grooves, press the chest and back together, and CAREFULLY squeeze the struts of the chest part over the back to lock it all into place. fold the back panel with the old neck joint up onto his back, and tuck that inside the torso, locking it into place, and finally fold up the back panel with the spoiler as you usually would. i prefer leaving the orange panels folded in, but either way is fine. enjoy! * note: my hoodlum is also wearing shoulder joint upgrade parts by pezley on TFW2005
