Somebody asked me to dig out my mods to the RepRap Atom X so here they are :) You can see the mods in action here: BLTouch and Marlin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fP8PBrC9yVQ Before BLTouch with Supplied Repetier Firmware https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGrsseKjH7c Included here are a redesigned Z gantry for fitting a BLTouch (requires Marlin), Modified fan duct for cooler and hotend fans to reduce drafts, modified x endstop that mounts on the x stepper, modified Z endstop that mounts to rear of Z gantry and uses the existing holes for securing the bearings. The Z endstop uses a nut and bolt adjustment M4 and is an alternative to the BLTouch. The mods are pretty rough and may require making a couple of holes etc to mount the endstop switches. They all work fine on my AtomX. I have included all the Sketchup files if you want to alter them. I think the biggest improvements to the Atom X came from adding the heated bed and the BLTouch.
