Collins Bus Window Slider

If you're a skoolie or anyone else fixing up an old school bus, you may run into the problem of having the little plastic finger latch on a window break. There are places that can order them, but hey we are 3D printer people, aren't we? Yes we are! So we print a new one! This one is specifically modeled after the ones in the 1991 Collins bus I'm working on, though visually it looks identical to the ones for Carpenter, Wayne, and Thomas buses. There are two versions here to choose from. The first is an exact match of the original slider. However I found that it can be difficult to get your fingers in there to open them sometimes, so I made a second version that has an extended finger tab, which makes it much easier to open. Additionally, the second version adds some internal fillets to help give a bit of strength. How I Designed This I modeled this by removing an original from the bus I'm working on, then measured it using a micrometer for dimensions. Then I used Tinkercad for the modeling.
