Also known as the Column of Infinite (Coloana Infinitului), this is a famous sculpture masterpiece of the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncusi. It was built in the Târgu Jiu town in the year 1938, aligned with other masterpieces of the same sculptor: Table of Silence (Masa tăcerii), The Alley of Chairs (Aleea scaunelor) and Kiss Gate (Poarta Sărutului). All of them are illustrated in an added Google Earth satellite map, and anyone can see this alignment on one street in Târgu Jiu. The exact geographical coordinates of the column are: 45° 2'13.84"N, 23°17'6.66"E.Added, also, are the technical drawing of the column (IDW and PDF), and the STP file. The column was made from cast iron, and consists in 16 modules of 1.8 m high and a rectangular pedestal of 0.55 m. The total height is 29.35 m. At the end of installation, the column was covered with brass, using a Swiss procedure of the time.
