Dear All, the chain weight part of the kusarigama from the Isshin ryu adopting an octogonal shape- there I am strongly inspired from a real part BUT it may be bigger because the originals are made of metal (as the chain)- If I did that I am not sure it will be enough to pull or drive the chain (in practice this will be a string not a chain). Some kusarigama of other ryu (martial art school) for practice do possess a chain and a weight made of oak wood and not metal. I have one. :) I choose an octogonal shape, made it hollow TO BE PRINTED with a Flexible PLA or a TPU. Use printing parameter that allow you to print thick skin walls. and use higher Infill value. Why? because it needs to be flexible to avoid injuring your sparring partner right! You may print it in rigid plastic but do not do that. Please let me any comment if you printed it and tried it for practice and let me know! Update done in tpu natural fdm worked great but half the size. Only 20g. Need more weight. I also ironed the side to strengthen the columns. Best Regards Dr_Froggy_rD
