This is for the first-generation original Kindle Fire It seems that every gadget manufacturer out there today is boasting about how thin their latest product is, as if they are trying to mass produce a top super model. The problem is that while these super-thin gadgets are certainly sleek and portable, they are often times actually less usable and comfortable. The Kindle Fire is a perfect example of this thin-happy design flaw. The Comfort Grip for the Kindle Fire solves this flaw by providing a large, smooth, and comfortable surface around your Kindle Fire. It can be installed and removed in seconds simply by sliding the two halves onto your Kindle Fire. The headphone jack, USB port, power button, and speakers remain readily accessible thanks to openings in the top and bottom halves. The Comfort Grip prevents the accidental pressing of the power button while reading your Kindle Fire, and also serves as a screen protector. Instructions Print two. Slide them over your original Kindle Fire (they won't fit the Kindle Fire HD series, sorry). It might be necessary to slightly enlarge the locking tab holes with a razor knife if the halves do not fully seat together. Printers vary, so it also may be necessary to slightly upscale or downscale to achieve a snug but not-too-tight fit.
