A printable comic book frame for American comics, which apparently come in a standard size. It has a 3mm lip around the edge to hold in a piece of glass without blocking the art and holes on the inside walls for toothpicks or paperclips as retainers. See instructions for more. Instructions This is a big one - I had to turn it on a 45-degree angle to fit a 200mm build platform. I included the 123D Design file if anyone wants to try and break it into smaller chunks. Print 2. I went with 25% infill and each half of the frame weighs over 100g. You could go with less, but then the surfaces where the parts mate might not turn out well. Let me know how it goes. Assemble with your glue of choice. I used JB Weld and put clamps on it to hold the joints and keep the frame square. Get a piece of glass at the hardware store. Chat up the person cutting your glass. Show them the frame, and tell them that it's supposed to be 6 5/8" by 10 1/4", but this guide on the internet said that the 6 5/8" was just a hair too much to sit nicely. With the frame face down, lay in the glass, your comic book of choice, and a layer of corrugated fiberboard. You call it corrugated cardboard, but it has a much better and cooler name than that and you just learned it. Stick paperclips or toothpicks into the tabs to hold everything down. Nobody's going to look back there, anyway.
