COMIC STAND

COMIC STAND

This is a two-way use object that attracts kids. It can be used as a wall decorator and also as a pencil stand. Generally, we see a pencil stand with shapes of polygons, but I want to create it like a comic thing. So I created a hexagon shaped face, added hands and legs, and 2 rounded holes that look like eyes, and a triangle hole which look like a mouth. These holes are used to place pens or pencils. I designed a V-shaped thing on the top, which is used to hang the object to a wall and it looks like a hat for that hexagon shaped face. I have kept a pencil to get an idea for the viewer about the use of this object. I didn’t make a full hole that surpasses through the backside, because I don’t want the pencils to touch the ground. This object can be used as wall decorator and any tiny things can be placed in that three holes that I mentioned above. How I Designed This SOFTWARE USED I used Autocad software to design this. I used options like line, polyline, circle for the shapes. I used commands like Subtract to make holes, Union to combine two objects to view like a single one and Extrude to make a 3D view by extending the lines. Also applied colors through properties command. Standards NGSS Overview and Background This is easy to design once you get to know about the commands of the software that I used. I think dimensions are not accurate in this design. Overall, I think it looks good to for the viewers. Lesson Plan and Activity Watch youtube videos how a 3D object designed. Think of an object you want to design. Note down the dimensions and requirements to make it. Again go for the youtube tutorials and search for the commands that can full-fill each and every requirement. Materials Needed Autocad software
