Command Strip Mounting Block for Pegboard

Command Strip Mounting Block for Pegboard

thingiverse

I wanted a way to mount a pegboard to my wall using command strips. I designed these blocks to the exact size of a "medium" command strip (2" x 5/8"). The holes allow for 3/4" #8 (USA) wood screws to be driven into them, through a pegboard, without protruding from the backside of the block. This works well, but do not over-torque the screws. If you want to counter-sink your screws to be flush with the surface of your pegboard, you will need a counter-sink drill bit, as you cannot put enough torque on the PLA to suck the screws into the pegboard material. The blocks are 5/8" thick, so your pegboard will be spaced that far from the wall, allowing for typical hooks to be inserted into the pegboard without scratching the wall. The blocks are designed to be installed between rows of pegboard holes, so that all holes remain available.
