Commel Design Challenge

Here is my design for the Commel europlug power strip design challenge! https://grabcad.com/challenges/commel-socket-design-challenge My focus was to create a practical yet aesthetic socket casing design with smooth contours, minimizing areas where dust collects. I included a simple cable guide on the back (wall) side of the casing so the power strip cord could be tidily led to the other side if needed. As it's Commel's goal to provide products at a low cost to their customers, I purposely avoided extraneous elements such as moving parts, and modularity. I also wanted to create something that would not require alteration of the existing linear, internal power strip component wiring/setup, as "the technical structure of the socket must remain the same". I do not have an estimated final cost, but I'm sure this qualifies as low cost. :) Measurements are within the maximum dimensions per challenge requirements.
