Commodore Clip

Commodore Clip

The Commodore Clip is designed to be a universal face shield attachment that can be mounted to most brims of hats. We specifically designed it to be mounted to a hard hat that a local hospital had hundreds of. We have also included the Fusion360 file if you would like to modify. The printed clip needs to be a flexible TPU material so that it can clip and follow the edge of a brim. The part will need to be oriented with one of the flat sides against your build plate and does not need support. We used 0% infill, 4 walls, 0.2mm layer height, and 30mm/s print speed. We printed this part on our Ender-3, Ender-5, and Lulzbot TAZ 6 3D printers. A transparency sheet is used as the face shield. Make a small 1/8" fold on the long edge of the transparency and slide the folded edge into the slot at the end of the clip. Slide it through until the Commodore Clip is centered with the transparency sheet.
