For pointing or poking, this Common Spear is great for both! Its perfect for those who love gutting foes or gesturing to far away things! Throw it or toss it or lob it or fling it or chuck it or swing it, you can do all the stuff with this amazingly long spear! (It's not real though so to be fair it can be as long as you want, or size it down and instead of long it becomes thin.) Also, in case you're wondering, this weapon can also technically be a javelin too..at least I think. I mean, I don't really know the difference between a spear and a javelin... Ok, I searched it. So a javelin is just a light spear. Hmm. So I guess this isn't technically a javelin. But, if you just forget what I said about them being different, you can call it a javelin..
