[26-Feb-18] Added Main Body source file for customization. [22-Nov-17] Added a smaller 4020 Fan mount to reduce overall footprint. [16-Oct-17] Trimmed the rivet pin to 20mm measuring from cap to tip. Updated pics. Re-designed Servo mount Set V.2 uploaded. Y offset reduced. Screw mounted micro-switch. [10-Oct-17] Firmware info added [7-Oct-17] An updated version of probe mount is uploaded, this will allow printing without support. Sorry for the mistake. I do realize that some rivets may have bigger caps, and cannot fit in the probe mount. There is a simple solution to this is by mounting the mandrel to an electric drill. While running the drill, use a file to trim the cap to correct size. I use this method to polish the tip. ================================ This is a remix from a compact fan mount designed for the E3D V6 or clones. I want a mount that can fit in tight space, light weight, with a z-probe and "Cheap". I saw many designs with different types of probe, conductive, capacitive or mechanical, but none fit my goal or is too expensive (BLtouch or alike). So I decided to build one with parts that I owned or can be salvaged from my used stuff. Here is the BOM list, - All printed parts - 30mm axial fan and 50mm radial Blower fan( u should have these already) - 1 X 9/10g Micro servo (the cheapest will do) like this one https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbykingtm-hk15178-analog-servo-1-4kg-0-09sec-10g.html - Servo extension cable like this https://hobbyking.com/en_us/60cm-servo-lead-extention-jr-with-hook-26awg-5pcs-bag.html or make your own. - 1 X 12V to 5V DC-DC buck convertor (u may not need this if your servo does not cause reset when being activated) - 1 X micro switch like the one shown in the photo (I salvaged it from a dead mouse's middle wheel button) - cables and plugs for connecting probe to the RAMPS board(I use AWG24 wire with black connectors(Dupont) which are commonly used in PC) - Screws: 1 M3x35 with nuts for extruder mount 1 M3x25 with nuts for blower fan 1 M3x20 Self tapping for blower fan 1 M2x10 Self tapping as push rod(also see below) 9 M2.6x8 Self tapping for joining parts to the extruder mount(or glue them if u don't have these small screws, I salvaged them from several toy quads) - 3mm in length Plastic tubing as push rod spacer(I use a section of PTFE(Bowden) tube and trimmed it to fit the slot on the probe mount) - 1 X aluminum POP rivet @ 1/8", other specs will work, but u need to adj the part to fit (u might need to trim the length, the one I have is trimmed to 23MM from the tip of the pin to the bottom of the cap and the tip is rounded off using a file) During the course of design, I used these CAD models and I am here to thank them for their great works. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:999655 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1077412 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:341689 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1897864 https://www.youmagine.com/designs/sunon-30mm-fan-kde1203pfb1-8
