Compact Camera Tripod - foldable, M3 edition
thingiverse
I really appreciate the original design, but I only have M3 hardware on hand, not much of M5. So, I redesigned it to be printed with M3 bolts and the bolts are intended to directly thread into the plastics - I print with PETG so this works very well, I don't know how well it would work with PLA. It turned out that the resistance when folding and unfolding is just right (or maybe slightly higher than necessary), and I use it together with thing 2221802 to hold a smartphone. You'll need 2 M3x10 and 2 M3x25 bolts. The diameter for through holes (bolts just pass through) is 3.5mm and the diameter for "thread-in" bolts is 3 mm. For my printer, this works well, but you might have to adjust the diameters. Fusion 360 files are attached for easier customization.
