Compact LM8UU and Igus RJ4JP-01-08 Bearing Holder

Introduction -------------------------------------------- The purpose of this project was to create compact and light bearing holders that contain no play in them. The project originated when I noticed that the Igus RJ4JP bearings I put inside the aluminum housing had play in them which was apparent when handling the bed or the X carriage. I thought to eliminate this and also create a replacement for the aluminum bearing housing. I liked six101 design but I had some fit issues. I decided to use this as a base for my design. You can see his design here. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2553537 Design Considerations ---------------------------------- Some of the considerations I took when creating this was to make sure that the bearings would be in the same position they are as if they where in the aluminum housing. This was done so that when the parts are used, they do not cause any offsets or issues. Another design consideration was the activated of an end stop trigger. I added a wall the size of the original bearing to compensate this. This will activate the end stop without issue. I also wanted it easy to be installed and not require that much force screwing into the plastic. I have designed the holes to me 3.8mm in diameter to allow M4 screws to be inserted without much issues. I believe the holes from the simple bearing block where small and required a lot of force to get in. I have provided the Fusion 360 files as well if anyone is curious to see how this was made or if they want to play around with this. Differences ------------------------------- Smaller and lighter Fixed dimensions. Original holes didn't quite line up with the SC8UUs.
