By using the original spool holder of the Ender 3 V2, the filament spool keeps swinging back and forth while printing. It is sometimes annoying as it makes some noise. Also, a more secure way for hanging the filament spool is needed to avoid the spool from falling down. Hence, this project was designed.

For the main screw for supporting the whole weight of the filament holder, I printed it by laying it flat on the print bed to enhance its strength. For the nuts, due to clearance issues, I printed them by scaling them to 110% on the X and Y directions so that the nuts can fit on the main screw. There are two types of spool stops, one large and one small, users may choose the one that suit their needs.

For installation, simply detach the original spool holder and install the main screw and main screw nut into the original installation hole. Then the spool stops, spacer and filament spool nut can be attached while loading the filament onto the holder.
