Concentric Rotary Knob Module

Concentric Rotary Knob Module

This is a modular concentric knob I designed for my simpit project. It uses gears to transmit the motion of the two coaxial knobs to two simple rotary encoders. short video of operation: https://imgur.com/9ugDDNo Each encoder also has a click action by pushing in the knob. On the Inner dial, the knob directly pushes on the encoder. The outer dial however, doesn't click. Instead, a button covers the top of the second encoder, and actuates the click action. I designed this module to be as compact as I could, as it needed to fit the limited space I had on my console panel. Dimensions are 46mm x 33.5mm x 20mm. This was designed for panel mounting, but a top 'surface' part is included. This can be used standalone if you have some other mounting idea for it, or as I did, it can be used as a template to mark and drill the panel to fit the module.
