I created these panels to represent the concrete panels used at level crossings where the road crosses the railway. Panels like these are used on the real railway so that they can be easily lifted to allow access to the track for maintenance. They are designed for use with Peco Streamline O gauge track. I haven't tried them with any other track brands. The photos show the panels installed on my own 7mm/ft or 1/43 scale O gauge model railway. In the 6ft between tracks, where the shape may not be a regular rectangle I used 2mm card painted to match.
