Prepare both the inner and outer template for the planter. Here we’re using 3D prints, but you could also use wood or clay. Take a Mayku Cast sheet from the pack. Peel the protective film from the top of the sheet. Remember, you can put this into household recycling. Place the sheet in the FormBox, and start to heat the plastic. Place the outer template on the centre of the vacuum plate. Watch the plastic as it ripples at the edges and begins to droop in the middle. Form the template with the Mayku Cast Sheet. Allow the mold to cool. Add a small hole with a safety pin to make removing the template easier. Using the same method, make a mold of the inner template. Using a pair of scissors, trim the excess from the inner mold, leaving a lip around the edge. Use tape to the seal the holes that you made earlier. Mark a line 2/3 up the outer mold. Pour ready-mix concrete to the line you just marked. Insert the inner mold and secure with tape. Leave to set overnight in a cool, dry place. Twist and pull the inner mold to remove it easily. To release the concrete, remove the tape over the hole in the outer mold you made earlier. Leave to cure for 48 hours. For a smooth surface on the top, place a sheet of coarse sandpaper on the table and rub the planter gently against it.
