Otherwise, it will become extremely difficult (or impossible) to install dowel screws between legs and table tops. To achieve the best look, drill the bottom plate through existing holes using a 3/16" or 4.8 mm drill bit. Then, attach the legs so that the painted part is facing up. This way, four wheel casters can be installed to the bottom plate.
