Connector For Rotary Encoder using JST-XH crimp pins

Connector For Rotary Encoder using JST-XH crimp pins

thingiverse

This is a connector housing for a standard Rotary Encoder with built-in pushbutton switch. You can find these at about any electronics supply house. Note: You will need JST-XH (2.5mm) crimp pins, some wire (I used 28 AWG stranded) and a crimper. My FreeCAD design file is included. I used PLA Pro at 215C/55C, 0.2mm layer height, (or 0.1mm) 1.2mm walls, 0.8mm top/bottom, 40% infill with a 0.4mm nozzle. There are 3 pins for the encoder, and 2 pins for the pushbutton switch. The 2 mounting tabs on the encoder fit into holes in the connector. If they don't fit tightly enough, you can bend the tabs after pushing them through the holes. Designed in FreeCAD 0.17, sliced in Cura 3.5.1, printed on a Prusa clone using OctoPrint
