For those who wear contact lenses, it seems that the greatest problem has always been application and removal. Not only is it a daunting process, but most people are worried to approach their pupil with a jittering fingertip, under the constant fear of scratching their eye. While there are many products in the market that advertise the safety and the reliability of their contact lens applicator, the fact is that these products are poorly designed and may not be reliable in every circumstance. Some companies have advertised a contact lens application wand which is extremely flimsy and with a design that does not ensure the contact lens does not fall from the end of the wand while trying to apply the lens. Picro’s goal is to develop an efficient, safe and hygienic way for all users of contacts to store their contact lenses, maintain their contact lenses and wear their contact lenses. This device not only serves as a contact lens case, but also a fluid vial, lens applicator and a removal device all in one. What distinguishes Picro from other contact lens applicators is an efficient design; its base serving as a lens container for both right and left eye contact lenses. Inside each of the lens containers, fluid can be added in order to preserve the contact lens for nearly weeks. When applying the contact lenses, a collapsible anti-microbial silicone cap holds the lens tactfully as one places it gently in their eye. Removal is also incredibly simple as the silicone tip also acts as a suction cup that is able to catch the lens easily inside the eye and take it off the eye without damaging the lens or scratching the eye. Picro’s extremely modern and compact design is efficient as it good looking. This extremely portable contact lens applicator can be personalized in an assortment of colors giving its user the opportunity to express themselves through their Picro.
