Containers from an Ornament

These containers are based on thing:1238533 - Rotating Six Fold Ornament. The basic container and lid are made of hexagons A more ornate container and lid are composed of two identical sets of hexagonal patterns one of which is offset by a rotation. The effect is to make patterns like those shown by the rotating six fold ornament. OpenSCAD code is included. The code allows changes in the offset of the hexagonal patterns to make many different containers. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation) Rafts: Yes Resolution: 0.2 mm Notes: The containers and lids can be printed directly on the build platform. I prefer to use a raft with the model to raft spacing increased to 0.4 mm. The raft curls up slightly and the printed object is tightly held at the edges. After printing I use a scapel to cut around the edges and remove the raft.
