My wife buys these "Yankee Candle Fragrance Spheres" to use in the office where she can't burn a candle. Problem is the lid is static so once you open them they're open 100% and for good so there's no way to control the release. Since she's not at the office a lot more than she is, it's not a great system.

So in the spirit of solving a problem that's probably not really a problem, I decided to design a controlled release cap, making it possible to have less scent if she prefers and, perhaps most importantly, she can shut it off when she leaves at the end of the day. It should make the product last longer overall, while also allowing you to decide how much scent you want at any given time.

Prints in 3 pieces with a dab of super glue inside of the knob to attach it to the shutter. I left the shutter shaft a tiny bit long so you can file it down to adjust how much drag there is when you twist.

The stock lid is included in the picture for reference.
