A low profile cooling stand that's perfect for those looking for an alternative to tall, bulky, and steep cooling stands. It's designed to slip into the back of the MacBook Pro 13" & 15" for easy typing and preserving the Apple aesthetic. The cooling stand sits right between the two fan cutouts for maximum effectiveness. The ridge on the top allows the cooling stand to sit in the hinge, so you don't have to worry about it sliding out. I went through several prototypes before arriving at this design, using feedback from friends and colleagues to perfect it. The small platform in the middle of the stand is to glue a small piece of rubber or similar material (rubber band maybe?) to help keep the stand from sliding back and forth over the vents, this is totally optional, well it does help it is not totally neccesary. I used an old piece of an exercise band, and it worked great! There are separate designs for both the 13" and 15"; however, the 13" model works well on both. Perfect for on the go, I printed with PLA in low resolution and have had no issues with it breaking after almost two months thrown in and out of my backpack.
