A pendant designed using a reaction diffusion simulation (the Gray-Scott model). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reaction%E2%80%93diffusion_system It's commonly used to describe many things, including but not limited to the growth of certain corals, patterns in animal coats, ecological principles, the formation of travelling waves, neutron diffusion and blood clotting. I've done this in a very hacky way, even though it's possible to run models like this in 3d software like Blender and even projected over 3d models. Instead I've just used svg files and booleans. Hence the wip, because there's a lot of cleanup involved. Used https://pmneila.github.io/jsexp/grayscott/ to run the visual simulation. Anyway, I thought doing this in a pendant format would be super cool, so you can carry a bit of your coral reef or ant farm or obscure animal coat with you wherever you go.
