Cord Reel Conversion

This is a part that can be used to upgrade a cheap Home Depot cord reel so the output receptacle is contained inside the spool for easy winding and unwinding to any desired length. Drill a hole using a 1-1/2" hole saw, slide the cord in place, and attach using this part and a 3/8-16 bolt (tip: drill a smaller hole opposite for the hex key). One of the photos shows it installed without the cord. This is just for illustration - the cord needs to be inserted before screwing into place. When printing, supports are needed for the lip. If you use Cura or another slicer that supports it, "concentric supports" work very well with this part.
