Cord Tensioner with Cord Trap

Cord Tensioner with Cord Trap

My earlier Cord Tensioner, 875245, released the cord if it was pulled at an angle. But now I needed one that didn't care what angle the cord takes when leaving the tensioner. This one was designed to mount under the eaves to hold a tarp, and depending on the grommets' alignment with the rafters, the tensioner had to be mounted either on a rafter or on the underside of the roof, and had to hold the cord for a variety of exit angles. So, I added a fairly strong closed ring around the cord at the exit, and added a third screw to give it strength. This one is also scaled 25% larger, which makes the 3 mounting screw holes nicely fit Spax flat head #8 woodscrews. Of course, this makes it harder to thread the cord into the tensioner. It would be possible to use a maze instead of a simple ring to simplify this, so you wouldn't need to lead an end through, but I think that requires more space. Refer to the earlier part for printing suggestions.
