Core-XY machine profiles for MakerWare

thingiverse

This thing contains MakerWare machine profiles for Sailfish Core-XY bots. See the instructions for how to install the profiles. Install only one. CoreXY-18T.json -- 18 tooth pulleys (88.88889 steps/mm) CoreXY-17T.json -- 17 tooth pulleys (94.11765 steps/mm) Both profiles assume a 200 x 200 mm build area and 210 mm of clear travel along the Z axis. Instructions Download the desired JSON file, CoreXY-18T.json -- 18 tooth pulleys (88.88889 steps/mm) CoreXY-17T.json -- 17 tooth pulleys (94.11765 steps/mm) Place the JSON file into the directory MakerBot/MakerWare/s3g/profiles/ Exact directory name will depend upon your operating system. E.g., for Windows it may be C:/Program Files (x86)/MakerBot/MakerWare/s3g/profiles/ If you wish to print over USB, you'll need to usurp one of the existing machine profiles. I suggest moving ReplicatorSingle.json out of that directory and renaming the CoreXY-nnT.json file to ReplicatorSingle.json. Launch MakerWare. In MakerWare restart the background services with Services > Restart Background Service. Select the machine type "bot" with MakerBots > Type of MakerBot. HOWEVER, if you renamed the file to ReplicatorSingle.json, then select the machine type "The Replicator". You will then be able to print over USB as well. You're ready to go. Notes If, when you print, you see an error about the X3G being for a different type of printer, then MakerWare put in an X3G "stream version" command which states that the X3G is for a Rep 2/2X [Rep 1] and you have a Rep 1 [Rep 2/2X]. You can address that by either running Sailfish 7.7 r1414 or later, OR by possibly changing the "machinenames" field in the JSON file.
