I'm attempting to build my own trim rings for trimming out the flarespace flares and windows. I'll use CA glue (superglue) to attach the flat part to the inside of the walls where the cut out meets the trim rings. I 3d printed the corners after modeling them in sketchup. Each corner uses about US$2 worth of plastic filament and takes about 6 hours to print. There are 3mm registration pins in the piece. I drill a 3mm hole in 4mm plywood and the friction fit is enough to hold it together. When I get the lengths dialed in I'll permanently attach it with CA glue. I plan to upholster this and the walls with a vinyl called Sileather. I'm nervous about upholstering around those rounded corners! I might have to take it to a professional. If you use this model please please please let me know! I want to see pics!
