1st attempt at a simple, 3d printable, retro-fit lever which converts a standard water tap so that it can be operated using your elbow, to avoid contact with hands when turning on/off. Intended for use in public places where infection control is more important-eg bathrooms in cafes, train/bus stations etc.Haven't tested it yet as I don't have a printer! Can someone print and try it? ... may need some tweaks to make it work, depending on the tap. IMPORTANT: It needs good surface finish or it could do more harm than good, by collecting virus infected cells on the rough/porous surface. I'm uploading as a concept which requires further development by others in the community, not as a finished, ready to implement product.Perhaps it would be possible to coat the surface after printing to make it smooth, eg dip in a resin, varnish, PVA or something along those lines?I imagine a few different sizes could be developed for different tap styles. Requires an M6x30 screw and nut for the integrated pinch clamp.Enjoy!
