#### Updates 21/04/2020: improved geometry for a better fit, added three additional cores for thick and thin materials (still, medium size fits for a large number of different fabric materials), added Fusion 360 sources for customization ### Description Simple and easy-printable face mask clip that allows using any suitable material for the mask in the pandemic times. Sewing skills are not required. Just cut and press the material. ### Assembly 1. Insert elastic band into the frame 2. Cut 24x18 cm piece of material and two ~20cm elastic bands (you can use longer ones for horizontal mounting behind the head). It's safer if the material contains about 3 layers. 3. Bend material over 18cm edge like on the photo 4. Press material to the frame with the core. Thin core for 0.1 mm material thickness, medium for 0.4 mm, thick for 0.8 mm, extra thick for 1.2mm (like a towel) ### Materials According to the [NYTimes](https://www.nytimes.com/article/coronavirus-homemade-mask-material-DIY-face-mask-ppe.html) the best combinations of materials are: * two layers of high-quality, heavyweight “quilter’s cotton” * two-layer mask made with thick batik fabric * a double-layer mask with an inner layer of flannel and outer layer of cotton In general, pillow cases, flannel pajamas, and origami vacuum bags can be used too. Cotton T-shirts are not perfect but are applicable too. ### Be safe!
