Here is a simplified and optimized version for printing the engine cover of an F4U1 privateer. To modify the scale in Cura, focus on the thickness of the cover. A larger scale may require increased thickness to achieve optimal results. The print process is divided into two parts. Part 2 includes a 0.4 mm thick tube that needs to be removed after printing, as it serves solely to minimize support material usage. For a strong and durable assembly, we recommend using epoxy glue and applying an additional layer of epoxy inside the joint where the two parts meet. To achieve a flawless external appearance: 1. Apply a thin layer of polyester putty for a smooth finish. 2. Sand the sealant gently with 400 grit sandpaper and water until the printed plastic surface is exposed (regardless of whether it's PLA, ABS, or other materials). 3. Coat the area with primer and lightly sand any areas that require touch-ups. 4. Paint to your desired color.
