When I was searching for a new keyboard, the K95 Platinum XT checked nearly every box, except for the fact it doesn't have a detachable cable. Until now. The stock cable for the K95 Platinum XT is attached to the keyboard via a bracket. I remade the bracket for a USB-C female port. Creating the bracket is the only difficult part of this project. Everything else can be done in about 5-10 minutes time. Simply slide the USB-C port into the slot on the bracket, add hot glue to secure it in place if you'd like (I did), however it should be tight enough without it. NOTE: You lose the pass-through port by doing this, unless you come up with a solution to it, but I don't use it so I didn't mind. Either create new crimped wires or cut the power cord of the K95 and solder the wires to the appropriate spots on the USB-C female port. Plug everything back in and voila. That is all that needs to be done. By far the most complicated part was getting the bracket just right, so the process should be fairly simple for anyone so long as you can solder.
