Anyone that has ever used a 60% keyboard in the last two years probably has noticed a trend with them: Detachable. Cables. And honestly? That's a godsend. You can choose the cable you want, with the thickness you want, whether it be curly or straight - the choice is entirely yours, and rightfully so. That also means that I've grown ever so sick of my "old" Corsair Strafe keyboard. It's in no way a bad keyboard, quite the opposite is the case actually. But it was unflexible in every way imaginable. The cord? Stiff and way too thick, since two usb wires are run through it - and more importantly: Undetachable - Want to clean your desk without any hassle? Tough luck, bud. The way the cord was fixed, right in the middle of the keyboard? Absolutely whack and despicable. And while the latter point is pretty much unavoidable - using a cable that doesn't prolong at least 5-10cm out of the keyboard housing without ANY flex is! Welcome to the USB-C conversion kit. All you need is a small form factor female USB-C PCB (The exact same ones I used are **10pcs USB 3.1 Type C Connector 14 Pin Female Socket receptacle Through Holes PCB 180 Vertical Shield USB-C** from the Aliexpress Seller **gMarket Store** https://a.aliexpress.com/_dVkQs1o ), some basic soldering skills and a drop of hot glue and you're good to go! One thing that will change however: The pass-through USB connector on the keyboard won't work anymore if you're putting the same basic effort (i.e. none) into it as I did. If you manage to squeeze a passive USB hub in there that can deliver, I don't know, maybe 2A? I guess you'd be good to go. The choice is yours, really. I'm just providing the tool to make your life less hellish while doing so.
