BRICK and SLATE COTTAGE I designed this as scenery for my model railway. It's not great but I'm pleased with it. I have test printed twice and it prints well using PLA on an Ender 3 Pro. No need for a brim or supports. Careful filing of window frames and a bit of sanding on the roof improves the appearance. I have painted using Humbrol Enamel. The bricks are embossed. I painted them using an overall coat of Humbrol Matt 83. Then I used a 'dry brush' sweep of Humbrol Matt 113 to get a basic brick colour, leaving the lighter colour visible in the gaps. Then, with a very fine brush, I picked out some individual bricks using red, green, grey and various browns. The roof is a mixture of Humbrol Matt 27 and 66. I found the need for two thick coats on the roof to disguise the printer marks which made the embossed slates look like basket weave. I hope someone finds this design useful. Please post photos. Any issues - please post a (polite) message or comment and I'll try to fix it.
