This is a countersink sharpening attachment for a D-Bit grinder. It fits on the HMB U3. Turn yourself a 8mm piece of steel with 120° cone on one end, on the other a M5 outer thread. This is your Settingping. The Settingpin runs in the V-Grooves. These are helical, so a axial movement feeds your countersink when turning the spindle. When clamping the Countersink, bring the settingpin in contact with a groove. Turn the spindle anti-clockwise until the settingpin reaches the end of the groove. Then align your countersink ( left hand Cuttingedge ) to be parallel to the Dovetailjoint of the grindingfixture. ( look pictures for better understanding ). Dres your wheel before grinding! The countersinks are not ground by swinging the axis, the are ground by plungin into the grindingwheel. Errors on the wheel will occure onto the countersink! Lower Axis 5° Upper Axis 45°. Grinding only by feeding the spindlemicometer, not the micrometer that feed´s the bar where yout Tool sits on. Greeting in horrible english from Germany, Thomas
