Covid-19/Coronavirus Christmas Ornament

Covid-19/Coronavirus Christmas Ornament

In our family, we always get a Christmas ornament that represents the year. This year without a doubt needed to be a coronavirus-themed ornament. I was unhappy with what I could find out there so I made my own. You need to print the sphere, pegs, and 2020 separately in the colors of your choice. I went white/red/gold as that seemed the most "Christmas-y" and still resemble the virus. Then use super glue to put it all together. There is a special peg design with a hole in the peg so you can more easily hang up your ornament. You only need to print off 2 of those. You need 56 pegs in total (2 of the pegs should have a hole in them). I printed the half sphere's as that was a lot easier/better than dealing with supports although I include both. I would recommend printing with PETG or something more durable than PLA if you store them in an unairconditioned attack. I live in Texas and store my ornaments in a place that gets 115 degrees in the summer. PLA will warp at that temperature. Printed on the Prusa Mini. I included some of the pictures I used as I was designing the model. Good luck all! Post pictures if you make it!
