<p>Like other no-touch door opener designs, this fits around your pointer (through the ring) and middle fingers allowing you to hook door handles, push buttons and levers without touching them.</p> <p>I've been using WOLLBREZEL's great PEWT design for a couple of weeks, it's a fantastic, compact and very functional part that I've been passing around the office since I first tried it.</p> <p><a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4271242">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4271242</a></p> <p>It gave me several ideas though and I had some time to spend learning OnShape so I whipped up this one. It's designed to improve on the PEWT's button pushing functionality and to have a larger surface area across the front for pushing heavier objects like security doors. I gave it a bit more support across the palm to improve the grip as well. It's even possible that it has some self-defense capability...</p> <p>Updated 5/13/20 to increase the keyring hole size, improve the thumb support along the back and add fillets around the finger holes. A light version was also added without the partial finger-surround by the keyring hole.</p> Category: Hand Tools
