Update 1/12/2020: Updated lid to make it fit better since lid was too tight and had to be trimmed to fit. Got a BIGTREETECH SKR 1.3 board to upgrade my Alfawise u20 and needed to make a case. Could have created an insert adapter for the board for the stock case, but decided that I do not like the bulkiness. Designed a case to hold the the board, that still allowed for the stock wire connectors of the u20 to attach, and incorporate a fan to cool the 2208 drivers, with the power supply separated and installed vertically behind the right pillar. Main power wires were replaced with longer ones to accommodate for the longer distance, and used zip ties to secure them along the rails underneath the printer. Inside the case I put brass nut inserts for the board and lid connections. The lid is made so that the fan focuses first on the stepper motor controllers, then circulates around then out the side of the box. You may notice that the grill design on one side does not extrude all the way through the wall, and that was because of an annoying whistling sound that came only from the area if it were extruded all the way through. Made two different versions of the box, one without the rail insert, one with the rail insert. the one with the rail insert was created specifically for the Alfawise u20, and it allows for the box to sit on the outside left rail, slide into the rail, and secure it in place. Materials used: M3x5mm Embedment Brass Nuts x 8 M3x5mm bolts x 8 12 gauge wire for new power wire with 2 spade terminals to connect to power supply
