Water Cooling Block. I combined a few different designs as well as adding my own spiral design. - - * * * * * * * * * * NOTES * * * * * * * * * * - While the spiral channel with pin fins would really allow for maximum contact between the cooling fluid and the heat sink, it might also add too much resistance. But i don't know because i can't test it. Most likely it would be OK as long as you had the right size pump. - The holes would definitely have to be re-sized after calculating how much flow would need to leave the spiral in order for all four corners to have an even flow rate, or close to it. - I always try to keep manufacture-ability in mind while designing anything, as i suggest everyone should do. That being said, i tried to make everything reasonably simple if it were to actually be manufactured. The heat sink would really lend itself well to powder injection molding but the rest should be easy to machine (in case you were wondering why there are like 5 pieces). - Also, the hole sizes for screws and fittings are not standard because i was doing this kind of spur-of-the-moment and didn't look up the exact measurements for different CPU brackets. - Excuse the really bad pics, they're just screen shots because i didn't have time to render it yet. Feel free to upload a render of your own, thanks. Enjoy!
