I believe I have found a way to reduce or maybe eliminate the need for repeated maintenance on the bowden tube that enters the print head on the CR-10 printers. This design utilizing a bowden tube puts significant stress on the tube as the print head moves side to side in the 'X' axis, causing it to be rotated back and forth in the existing self locking strain relief. This rotation slowly wears on the tube and eventually allows it to retract slightly from within the hot end and thus causes filament leaks and clogging. My Testing is still ongoing but to date, (17-Nov-30), along with Capricorn tubing I have not had to rework the nozzle for quite some time now. Seems to be helping but I am sure the success can also be attributed to the new higher heat range tubing. Happy Printing! Cheers! 2017-Oct-25 Just uploaded a revised clamp to fit tighter on the back plate and added a tab to secure the wire loom. Still seems work well. 2019 Jul 14 less stress on Bowden.
