# Introduction I decided to upgrade my extruder and hot end on the CR-10, primarily because I wanted to work with flexibles, but also because the original hotend and extruder are not that great. This mount attaches the Titan extruder and the V6 hotend directly onto the X carridge, with provision for both a 50mm blower and a BLTouch or similar probe. Having set the firmware up to work with the geared 400 step motor the results I am getting from the printer are hands down the best I have ever had. ### Features + Accepts E3D Titan Extruder and V6 Hotend. + Keeps the nozzle height in the range which can be accommodated by the adjustable bed. + If used with an adjustable endstop and the **Volcano Fan Duct** then the E3D Volcano can be used with this setup. I recommend this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2349068 + Mount and duct for 5015 Blower fan - gives far superior layer cooling to the original fan. + Adjustable mount for BLTouch included. Other mounts could be made easily (let me know what you would like) + Uses 4mm bowden tube to provide support for the cables running between the frame and the carriage (I simply ran the tube though the nylon overbraid - it works perfectly!) ### Printing I printed this using PETG as I wanted a tough part, but non of it is exposed to really height temperatures so it should be ok to print it from PLA if you wish. #### Update 1 I have added a fan duct for the Volcano hot end, which is 8.5mm taller, allowing for the longer head. I have also updated the BL-Touch mount to allow it to drop further so as to work with the volcano. *If you aren't using the BL-Touch or similar probe then remember to change the fixed Z endstop for an adjustable one if you want to use the Volcano, or there won't be enough adjustment in the bed screws to allow for the longer heat block and you will crash the nozzle into the bed!* #### Update 2 I have now added a mount for an 18mm probe. I don't have such a thing myself so if there is a problem with the mount please tell me what it is and I will correct it! #### Update 2.5 Following feedback, I have increased the thickness of the mounting ring for the 18mm probe and moved it further from the hotend. #### Update 2.5.1 I have added an image of how the items should be orientated for printing.
