CR-6 SE LGX Lite Direct Drive Mount

Easy to print (no supports needed) and very stable mounting platform for the Bondtech LGX Lite Direct Drive configuration for the Creality CR-6 SE. This mounting platform provides a stable platform for the tiny extruder. It also leaves room for custom fan or hotend covers as it still exposes the bolts holding the stock hotend cover in place. Best printed in PLA for durability (PETG tends to flex too much), or anything without flex, such as ABS, ASA, CF, etc. You will need a short piece of PTFE tube from the LGX Lite extruder to the hotend (mine was 53mm for a Phaetus Dragon hotend). The rest of the setup and configuration is explained in the Bondtech post for the larger LGX extruder: https://www.bondtech.se/2021/05/17/how-to-install-a-lgx-on-the-cr-6-se/ You will need 2 M3x12mm bolts to attach the mount platform to the bottom of the extruder. Plus a M3x8mm bolt for the front of the platform. The LGX Lite must be opened up and the Bondtech provided nuts inserted into the provided holes that match the screws on the mount. You will need to swap the pins on the cable connection for the new Z stepper motor. By default it will extruder backwards. The simplest way to fix this is to swap one of the motor pairs, e.g. swap the blue and yellow pins. Mounting takes a bit of pressure, so be sure to support the Z axis when fitting. The short PTFE tube should be inserted into the hotend first and then pushed into the mount as it is fitted onto the Z axis. The length may vary, but on my printer the PTFE tube was 53mm. In the printer settings, e-steps should be set to 562, the VREF on the motherboard set to ~0.400, and in your slicer retraction should be set to 0.4mm @35mm/s as instructed in the Technical Specifications for this extruder: https://www.bondtech.se/product/lgx-lite-large-gears-extruder/ You should then establish your flow rate for your printed filament.
