I already had 1/2 solid steel rods, so I redesigned one of the simplest designs by iWalldock. Rather than insert the bracket into a hollow rod as the original design, my version goes over a solid 1/2" rod. I also preferred to put the supports on the back rather than the front of the printer. The rods require a shorter length in the back and are out of the way. However, I soon found this sleek design reduced some of the z height so I'll "shortly" be adding and uploading extension blocks (Between the frame and adapter) for when the z is at the very top. The left side where the extruder is requires a little longer extension spacer block than the right side. This option to add spacer blocks gives clearance to maintain the stock full z height. The CR10-S5 comes from the factory surprisingly without supports which are essential for taller prints. There were many designs out there that all requiring many parts. All the other designs also required one to purchase new rods. When installing this version it is not necessary to pre-drill the extrusions before doing the M5 tap. I used short M5x8 screws on the first version without the spacers. If you add the spacers I used M5x50 screws on the long side and M5x30 on the right shorter side. The frame already comes with a hole that is perfect for the M5 tap. Before I did the tap, I removed the plastic end cap and closest frame screw to the end so as not to damage it. After I tapped the hole, I put the frame screw back in and then installed the bracket. I spray painted the metal rods a satin black but put masking tape over the end parts that are inserted in the bracket since the fit was so tight. You can just touch up the end of the frame with a bit of the paint since the end cap is not needed. Super simple and worked like a charm.
