CR10 V3 Filament Sensor Extruder Mount

I saw a post in a Facebook group about an STL that allows you to mount the filament sensor for the CR10 V3 on the tool head. The catch is that it needs to be mounted vertically and it's rather large, so you lose about 50mm of Z-height. I took that file and messed with it quite a bit to completely change the orientation of the sensor and combined that with a couple other filament sensor case ideas I saw (YarkspiriFantasyArt and DarrylPortelli designs). You also print a small cap for the sensor arm itself so the filament can feed perpendicular to the sensor instead of inline with it (so it can be mounted horizontally). It turned out to work quite well and saves a lot of space! I think it looks a bit more "from factory" as well when mounted horizontally. You don't lose Z-height with this design either. It will just tap the bottom of the spool at full height. I may print a small (5mm) spacer for my spool mount to help it just clear the spool, but it actually works fine as is. It doesn't interfere with homing at full height either. Once you get filament inserted, there's a whole lot less drag/friction compared to feeding it through that long brass passageway on the original housing. I used the original hardware, but added 4 M3 nuts to the bottom of the case (you can glue these in to make assembly easier). It prints in various pieces to make printing much easier. You will also need an M3x12mm screw and nut for the clamp portion that mounts over the extruder stepper. Hope you enjoy!
