CR6-SE Slice Engineering Mosquito Hotend Mounting Adapter

I've been developing this adapter off and on since the spiring of this year (2021) after having gotten tired of using the factory hotend. Clogging was becoming constant despite all attempts to thwart it. Having replaced the entire hotend assembly with a brand new factory unit was the last straw. Problem no more with the Slice Engineering Mosquito Hotend! As of this posting I have now run 4 kg of PLA and 6 kg of PETG through this setup and as you can see in the last two photos the adapter remains in good shape, no warping or other failure. Printed in PETG. Since this is a structural component I highly recommend that you adhere to the printer settings that I included. Orientation of the part in a slicer should be the Bowden Tube Pneumatic fitting side face down...in other words, print this upside down and use supports. Designed to use the stock hotend mounting screws. If the fit is loose, simply apply a drop of thick CA into the fastener holes before mounting the adapter to the diving board sensor. The Bowden Tube pneumatic fitting is a tight, self threading fit. Just go slow installing it, a half turn in, back out 1/4 turn, etc. This ensures a proper fit of the fitting, it won't come out. To mount the adapter to the Mosquito Hotend I used two M2.5 x 14mm SHCS. The fan mounts with two M3 x 15mm SHCS. Stay tuned, this adapter is a springboard for a direct drive solution using the Bondtech LGX!
