The crab-like creature native to Grove’s island seems to collect seashells from the surrounding beach and attaches them to its own shell. Further research is needed as to how these crabs get the shells to stay attached to their bodies. They appear to be social creatures and are often seen scavenging the beach-side in large groups. A word of caution, they are not afraid of people and will rush to you if you get too close.
