Craftsman Utility Knife Blade Stop

Craftsman Utility Knife Blade Stop

thingiverse

This is a replacement blade stop for the red handled Craftsman Utility Cutter. This design is a direct replacement I created. My bottom layer gives me decent results, so I printed it with the blade stop side down, and a 2.4 mm thick bottom layer. In the picture with 3 of the stops shown, the top one was printed with supports and the bottom one printed with no supports (note the back hole isn't as sharp). The black stop in the middle is the original from the tool. Seems to work well so far, and at 40 min to print with a cost of $0.10 + electricity, I think this will work long enough for the time and money invested. Please feel free to contact me for any design changes or questions (i.e. smooth out the sides for an easier print since the design was just to copy the original, not for fitment issues). To install and remove, leave the knife locked in the close position while you unscrew the screws for removal AND when you tighten the screws during install.
